On the morning of April 2, Mr. Han Yuewei, Vice General Manager of China Resources Group, met with a delegation led by Professor Freddy Boey, President of City University of Hong Kong (CityU), in Hong Kong. The two parties held extensive discussions in deepening collaboration in technological innovation, transformation of research findings, and joint talent development and reached broad consensus.
During the meeting, Vice General Manager Han Yuewei welcomed President Boey and his delegation, and delivered a brief on China Resources Group’s business portfolio and its latest advancements in scientific and technological innovation. President Boey expressed appreciation for the Group’s longstanding support and highlighted CityU’s recent research accomplishments, as well as the progress of the collaborative research projects with the Group.
Both parties recognized CityU’s world-class research expertise in key dominant disciplines which has a strong alignment with China Resources’ business portfolio. Previous extensive and productive exchanges have laid down fruitful collaborations. Moving forward, both parties are committed to enhancing pragmatic communication and exchanges, broadening and deepening the scope of collaboration. They aim to accelerate the establishment of the CityU-CR Joint Investment Platform and advance the implementation of various joint R&D initiatives, such as the "Industry-Academia-Research 1+" program, fostering the commercialization of transformative scientific achievements for a win-win partnership.
The CityU delegation included Senior Vice President Professor Michael Yang Mengsu, Vice President Professor Anderson Shum Ho Cheung, and Council Member Dr. Raymond Leung. Related Representatives from China Resources Group’s Scientific and Technological Innovation Department and China Resources Enterprise also attended the meeting.
